Labourer | Work for Council

We have exciting opportunities with Council - Parks and Gardens and Civil Labourers. As part of the team, you will be working on various projects in and around North Brisbane.

About your new role

• Roles available in both Parks/ Garden Labourers and also Civil Labouring

• Possibility to Extend contracts

What you will need to exceed

Mandatory Licences:

• Valid 'C' Class Licence
• White Card (Construction Induction)

• Medium Rigid 'MR' License
• Horticultural Qualification (ie. Cert. III Horticulture, etc.)
• Chipper Ticket
• ACDC Ticket
• Chainsaw Ticket

What you will do

Parks and Gardens

• Tree Maintenance: Pruning, trimming, and removal of hazardous limbs and debris.

• Equipment: Safe operation of specialised gear (chainsaws, wood chippers, PPE).

• Administration: Documenting work, incidents, and observations.

• Public Interface: Professional labouring and positive representation in public spaces.

• Roadside Assets: Installing and replacing road signs.

• Ground Repairs: Repairing pathways, kerbs, channels, and replacing manholes.

• Boundary Work: Conducting fence repairs/installation.
